Hi everyone and welcome back to another video.
I’m Casey Molina.
In this video, I’m gonna be showing you guys my mindful morning routine that just helps me get my mind centered for the day.
And just make the most of it while being mindful of my mental health.
So let’s get into it.
So the first thing I do when I wake up, is trying not to be on my phone but inevitably that always happens.
So something that I’ve definitely been trying to start implementing office social media until 12pm.
So I check my email, I’ll check my inspirational messages.
I’ll check my Indeed job board, but I try my hardest not to be on social media.
So after I’ve kind of laid in bed on my phone, it’s usually for around 30 minutes or so I decided to get up and start my day and greet the world.
So the first thing I do every day is I make my bed.
I think this is something that is statistically proven but also just puts me in a really good headspace to get the day started.
It makes me feel accomplished, like I got something done first thing in the morning.
So definitely make your bed in the morning everyone.
The next thing I do is I take my basal temperature.
So for people who don’t know what this is, you can track your ovulation using a thermometer and I have an app where I track this and I keep track of when I’m ovulating, what phases I’m in my period when my period is starting.
And every day I just wake up and take my temperature and the app will track it for me.
Drink your water everyone.
I cannot stress this enough.
We, especially as Americans, are so dehydrated, we need to drink water.
A book that I’ve been loving is the path of the yoga sutras.
I’ve been reading this for my yoga teacher training and it talks all about yoga philosophy.
But before I read that, I always start by journaling.
So I kind of break my journal down into my daily gratitude.
What I’m grateful for in the day, how I want to feel today and then doing a brain dump, which just helps me get all my thoughts out on paper, then I’ll write down my daily affirmations for myself.
So you can see here I’ve written down my daily affirmations and I write them in the present tense so that you’re kind of manifesting them into your life.
So the yoga sutras is all about yoga philosophy.
Each chapter is based off of a different ideology about calming the nervous system and the heart and mind, different things that just affect your mentality.
So I love it because they always do summary thoughts at the end of the chapter and exercises to practice so you can implement these things in your life now I made my way downstairs to my kitchen to go make some tea.
So I’ve really been loving ginger teas of all kinds right now and ginger is especially good for your immune system.
So today I decided to drink a mango ginger tea.
And this little kettle boiler is one of my favorite things in life.
It makes heating up anything that’s so easy and it makes making tea super fast.
So I bring it back upstairs.
I really love the little inspirational messages on them.
This one says people who love are compassionate, super cute.
And then I started my yoga routine.
So after becoming yoga certified, one of my goals has been to continue to practice yoga every single day.
And so I love to stretch in the morning and just wake my body up and loosen up my hips especially.
So I do a lot of hip open In the morning, and a lot of exercises and poses that helped strengthen my back and keep my lumbar spine loose.
At the end of every practice, I love to just give gratitude for my body and for my yoga practice.
Thank you guys so much for watching the video.
I hope that it helped you.
I hope that it gave some of you guys ideas for mindful ways to start your morning and your day.
These are things that I’ve been doing for maybe the past year and I’ve definitely seen a difference and a real impact on my mental health and my anxiety levels throughout the day.
So I definitely recommend giving some things a try.
Really quickly. I want to talk about my experience with better help and talkspace.
Both of them are online therapy platforms that have really helped me especially in the midst of the pandemic.
I have signed on and used them for counselors, and I really enjoyed my experience.
I think It’s been really beneficial for me.
And if that’s something that you’re interested in is counseling, or online counseling is something that you’ve never explored before, I definitely encourage you to do so.
The other thing that I really quickly wanted to plug is that I’m a certified yoga instructor.
So if you guys are interested or you’re getting more into yoga, or you’re a beginner, I actually have an Instagram account called the multitasking Yogi.
I will link that down below in the description so you can give me a follow on my Instagram accounts.
And you guys can follow along with me as I teach you guys through simple yoga flows for a variety of things like hip openers, and backbends and anxiety yoga.
So let’s do it.
Thanks for watching guys.
I’ll see you in my next video.
